David Phelps has been investing in single-family rental real estate since 1980 while in the private practice of dentistry. He has extensive experience in the single-family investment arena and has managed his own portfolio of homes for nearly thirty years. He is also involved in the discounted mortgage note investment business, mobile home and land packages, mobile home parks, self storage units, and the use of IRA funds for increased yields in real estate investing.

David's wife, Kandace, has an MBA in finance from Vanderbilt and a long history in the stock brokerage business. Having contrasted the opportunities in stock equities vs real estate, she is a firm believer in the control that real estate provides along with the many benefits that cannot be found in other investment vehicles.

The two of them attend numerous real estate and finance seminars throughout the United States each year. This provides them the network and insights into the current market which allows them to make prudent investment decisions. Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge to the table.

Today, David is practicing dentistry on a part-time basis, which allows him the time to further his investments in the real estate market and to work with other investors who, like him, want to invest for their future and that of their family.
